FAQs

Administration costs of the Foundation

Every person working for the Foundation is a volunteer committed to sharing his/her time, talents, and experiences without any type of compensation; no one is compensated or reimbursed for any expenses. All legal and accounting services are also provided at no cost. Here is the pledge each volunteer and Member must sign.

How is Baba’s Bunch Foundation funded?

As a public charity, the Foundation is funded from grants, and contributions received directly or indirectly from other Foundations, family trusts, corporations, individual donations and through specific drives and fundraising events.

Who may qualify for assistance?

Any family afflicted with Alzheimer’s may receive general assistance and personal counseling. Only families who have been previously assessed by Easter Seals social workers may be considered for the in-home respite support program when available.

How many families are assisted by Baba’s Bunch Foundation?

It all depends on the amount of funds received and available by the Foundation each year. As of 2019, just before the pandemic, the Foundation was assisting 25 families with weekly in-home respite support at a rate of 10,400 respite hours per year; unfortunately, the pandemic created havoc not just with the fundraising efforts but also with the participation of volunteers, federal assistance, and imposing regulations; it is just now that we are trying to regroup and restart the programs.
